Trump Boy Game

Okay, so Trump Boy is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that somehow nails that retro feel without just being a nostalgia cash-in. You play as this tiny, determined hero—no idea why he’s called Trump Boy, honestly—but he’s got this bouncy, almost slippery movement that takes a second to get used to. The first level throws you right into it: dodging spikes, jumping over pits, and smacking these weird floating eyeball enemies with your sword.
The music’s got that classic chiptune energy—catchy but not annoying after the 50th time you die. And you will die. Some of the jumps are brutal, and there’s this one section where the floor just… disappears. Took me way too long to figure out you’re supposed to wall-jump there.
What I love is how it mixes simple platforming with these little puzzle moments. Like, there’s a block you have to push onto a switch, but first you gotta lure an enemy over to stand on another switch so the door opens. It’s not brain-melting, but it keeps you from just mindlessly running right.
If you’ve got a soft spot for janky-but-charming Game Boy games, this one’s a solid time. Just maybe keep a walkthrough handy for that disappearing floor part.
