Triple Play 2000 was one of those N64 baseball games that actually made me feel like I was at the plate—even if the graphics look a little rough now. The pitching mechanics were surprisingly solid, and I remember spending way too much time trying to nail perfect curveballs. Roster was deep for its time, too, with all the big names from the late '90s.
What I liked most was how it balanced arcade-style fun with just enough realism. You could pull off ridiculous diving catches, but the batting still required some actual timing. The commentary got repetitive fast, though—after a few games, you’ll start hearing the same lines on loop.
If you’re into retro sports games, this one’s a solid pick for some couch multiplayer nostalgia.
