Triathron is one of those weird, Japan-only NES sports games that somehow makes swimming, biking, and running feel both janky and weirdly addictive. You're mashing buttons to build speed, timing jumps over hurdles, and trying not to drown in the pixelated water—which happens more often than you'd think.

The controls take a minute to get used to (why does biking feel like you're steering a shopping cart?), but once it clicks, you'll be leaning into turns and barely scraping past the AI opponents. The events are short enough that you don't get bored, but just long enough to make you curse when you wipe out right before the finish line.

It's not polished, but there's something charming about its rough edges. If you dig obscure retro sports games, this one's a quirky little time capsule.
