Triathron was a Japan only release for the Nintendo Entertainment System, put out by K Amusement Leasing. It came out during a time when the NES library was full of experimental titles, and this one tried to capture the multi sport challenge of a triathlon.

You control an athlete through three distinct events: swimming, cycling, and running. The main goal is to complete all three segments in a single race faster than the computer opponents. The swimming section has you rapidly pressing buttons to build speed while managing a stamina meter. On the bike, you shift gears to handle different terrain and maintain momentum. The final run is a test of endurance, where pacing is critical to avoid exhaustion before the finish line. The game moves at a brisk pace and the difficulty comes from managing your energy across the entire race. It feels like a constant push against your own limits.
