I picked up Trappers Tengoku - Spy vs Spy for the Game Boy a while back. It came out in 1992 from Kemco, a company that put out a lot of games for the handheld during that era. It was a time when you could find all sorts of experimental titles, and this one definitely fits that description, being a Japan-only release that adapted the look of the MAD magazine spies for a portable adventure.

You control one of the two spies, navigating through a series of single-screen rooms. Your main goal is to find and assemble a stolen airplane by collecting its scattered parts before your rival does. The gameplay revolves heavily around exploration and setting traps; you'll search desks and cabinets for items, then place things like spring-loaded boxing gloves or bombs in rooms to catch the other spy off guard. The pace is methodical, almost like a slow, tense game of cat and mouse, and the difficulty comes from anticipating your opponent's moves while managing your own limited inventory. It feels like a clever, portable puzzle box where every screen holds a potential ambush.
