About Track & Field Ii
Track & Field II came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, developed and published by Konami. It was part of that wave of sports games on the NES that tried to capture the feeling of an Olympic event, building on the foundation of the first game with a wider set of challenges.
You control an athlete competing across several different Olympic events. The main goal is to win gold medals by outperforming the computer opponents in each discipline. Signature mechanics include the rapid button mashing for running events to build speed, and the precise timing needed for the field events like the javelin or long jump.
