Ever wanted to play as Woody or Buzz on your Game Boy? This little gem from the '90s actually holds up better than you'd think. You start off in Andy’s room, jumping over toy blocks and dodging RC cars—it’s got that classic platformer feel, but with just enough puzzles to keep you from mindlessly running right.
The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed—you can tell it’s Woody from his hat alone. And yeah, the controls are a bit stiff (it is Game Boy), but once you get used to it, bouncing between platforms as Buzz or sneaking past enemies as Woody feels oddly satisfying. Some levels drag a bit, but the later ones get creative with toy-themed obstacles, like building block towers or avoiding falling dominoes.
If you grew up with the movie, there’s some real nostalgia here. Just don’t expect it to be as smooth as modern platformers—this one’s pure old-school charm.
