If you grew up with Toy Story 2, this N64 game is pure nostalgia fuel. You play as Buzz, jumping and blasting through Andy’s house, Al’s Toy Barn, and even outer space—all with that chunky, colorful N64 vibe. The controls take a second to get used to (that jetpack feels a little floaty at first), but once you’re zipping around collecting Pizza Planet tokens and dodging Emperor Zurg’s goons, it’s a blast.
Some levels are straight-up platforming chaos, while others have these weirdly satisfying toy-themed puzzles, like stacking blocks or racing RC cars. And yeah, the graphics haven’t aged like fine wine, but the music? Still slaps. That main theme kicks in as soon as you boot it up, and suddenly you’re 10 years old again.
It’s not the deepest game ever, but for a licensed title from 1999, it’s way more fun than it had any right to be. Just don’t get me started on that one rooftop level with the falling tiles—still gives me stress dreams.
