Top Gun - The Second Mission is exactly what it sounds like—another round of high-speed jet action, but this time with a few tweaks. The first thing you'll notice is the slightly smoother controls compared to the original, though landing on that carrier still feels like threading a needle. Missions throw more enemy waves at you, and the dogfights get pretty intense once you hit the later stages.
It’s got that classic NES difficulty where one wrong move means restarting the whole level, but pulling off a perfect run feels satisfying. The music’s still cheesy in the best way, and the pixelated jets actually look a bit sharper this time around. If you survived the first game, this one’s worth a shot—just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
