Top Gear Hyper Bike is one of those N64 racers that never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You hop on a bike, pick from a handful of weirdly customizable options (why does my motorcycle have a spoiler?), and then just go—the speed feels ridiculous in that classic N64 way where everything blurs past you.
The tracks are all over the place—city streets, desert highways, even this one rain-soaked course where your bike fishtails like crazy if you’re not careful. It’s janky in that late-90s arcade racer way, but that’s part of the charm. You’ll wipe out a lot at first, especially on tighter turns, but once you get the hang of leaning into drifts, it clicks.
Honestly, it’s not some hidden masterpiece, but if you’re into weird, fast, slightly broken racing games, this one’s a blast for a lazy afternoon. Just don’t expect Gran Turismo.
