Tombs and Treasure on the NES is one of those weird, kinda clunky but weirdly charming adventure games from the late '80s. You play as an archaeologist digging through ancient ruins—think Indiana Jones but with more awkward controls and cryptic puzzles. The first thing you'll notice is how slow your guy moves, but once you get past that, there's something oddly satisfying about deciphering hieroglyphics and dodging traps.
It’s not exactly smooth—expect some frustrating moments where you’ll get stuck just trying to figure out what the game wants from you. But if you’ve got patience for old-school adventure logic (and maybe a walkthrough handy), there’s a neat little mystery buried in here. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
