Tokoro's Mahjong Jr. (japan) Game

Tokoro's Mahjong Jr. is one of those classic Game Boy mahjong games that somehow feels both simple and oddly satisfying. You start off with the usual tile-matching setup, but the Jr. in the title means it’s a little more forgiving—perfect if you’re still figuring out how to spot a winning hand without sweating over complex rules.
The controls are straightforward (this is a Game Boy game, after all), and the AI doesn’t immediately crush you, which is nice. I remember getting stuck on a few hands early on, but after a couple of rounds, you start recognizing patterns. The music’s got that nostalgic beep-boop charm, too.
If you’ve ever wanted to dip into mahjong without feeling overwhelmed, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect flashy animations—it’s pure, grid-based tile action.
