Toki No Tabibito (japan) Game

Toki No Tabibito is one of those weird, dreamy NES games that feels like playing through an old anime—probably because it is based on one. You control this kid who gets pulled into a time-traveling adventure, jumping between different eras with this little fairy companion. The vibe’s kinda melancholic, like a Studio Ghibli movie but with way more awkward platforming.
At first, it’s all about wandering through these surreal landscapes—ancient ruins, floating islands, the usual—while solving simple puzzles and dodging enemies. The controls are a bit stiff (classic Kemco), but there’s something charming about how earnest it is. Also, the music? Surprisingly good for an obscure Famicom title.
It’s definitely not for everyone, but if you’re into oddball retro adventures, this one’s got a weird little soul.
