Tip Off (europe) Game

Tip Off on the Game Boy is this weird little basketball game that somehow feels both clunky and charming at the same time. You’ve got these tiny pixelated players running up and down a court that barely fits on the screen, and the controls take a minute to get used to—dribbling feels stiff at first, but once you figure out the timing, you can pull off some surprisingly smooth layups.
The AI isn’t exactly NBA-level smart, so you’ll see some goofy moments where defenders just stand there while you drive past them. But that kind of adds to the retro appeal. The soundtrack’s got this bouncy chiptune beat that somehow makes missing a shot less frustrating.
It’s definitely not the deepest sports sim, but if you’re into old-school handheld vibes, it’s a fun way to kill 15 minutes. Just don’t expect modern mechanics.
