About Time Lord (europe)
Time Lord came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed by Rare. It was one of many action games from that period trying to capture the feel of titles like The Legend of Zelda, offering a large world to explore on a single cartridge.
You control a hero sent through different time periods to prevent an alien invasion. Your main goal is to travel across a world map, entering towns and dungeons screen by screen to find keys and special items. Signature mechanics include switching between a sword for close combat and a bow for ranged attacks, as well as solving simple block-pushing puzzles to progress. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the difficulty comes from tough enemy placements and the need to carefully manage your health.
