About Tiger-heli (japan)
Tiger-Heli came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985, a conversion of Toaplan's arcade game. It was part of that early wave of NES shooters, straightforward and direct, before the console's library grew more complex.
You pilot a helicopter, moving it in all directions across a vertically scrolling battlefield. Your main goal is to survive through each stage, destroying every enemy vehicle and installation you encounter. You have a standard forward-firing machine gun, but your most important tool is a limited supply of screen-clearing bombs. The pacing is relentless; enemies and bullets come from all sides, demanding constant movement and quick decisions about when to use your precious bombs. It feels like a tense, fast-paced scramble where every mistake costs you.
