About Thunderbirds (japan)
Thunderbirds for the NES came out in 1989, published by Activision. It was one of many licensed games from that period, based on the British television series. You play as the members of International Rescue, piloting the various Thunderbird machines on missions to save people from disasters.
You control different vehicles across side-scrolling and top-down stages, switching between them to complete objectives. The main goal is to navigate through hazardous environments, rescue civilians, and defeat enemy agents. Key mechanics include managing your vehicle's limited fuel supply, avoiding environmental obstacles, and engaging in simple combat with enemy craft. The game moves at a deliberate pace, demanding careful navigation rather than quick reflexes, and it presents a significant challenge. It feels like a methodical, sometimes frustrating, test of your patience and route planning skills.
