Thunder & Lightning was a Nintendo Entertainment System release, though it never saw a physical cartridge and remained a prototype. You control Mr. Chin, who balances a long stick on his head to serve as your paddle. Your main goal is to clear each screen of bricks by deflecting a ball, but the real challenge comes from the power-up carriers. A Flying Saucer, Submarine, or Airplane will occasionally fly across the screen; if your ball hits one, it releases a floating power-up. You then have to maneuver Mr. Chin to catch this item while still keeping the ball in play, which demands quick positioning and constant attention. The pacing is relentless, as you juggle these two tasks across increasingly crowded stages. It feels like a frantic test of your ability to split your focus under pressure.
