Oh man, Thexder. This one's a weird little gem from the NES days where you pilot this clunky robot that can suddenly flip into a jet—which sounds awesome until you realize how tight some of those corridors are. The whole thing feels like someone took a mech anime and made it play like a maze puzzle with bullets.
You start off in this sterile facility that looks like the inside of a motherboard, blasting drones and turrets while trying not to get cornered. The transformation gimmick is cool, but half the time I'd forget to switch forms and get stuck in a hallway. And those energy bars drain fast if you're not careful.
It's got that old-school "figure it out the hard way" vibe—no handholding, just you, a robot, and 16 levels of "why is everything shooting at me?" Fun if you like trial-and-error with a side of nostalgia. Just don't expect it to go easy on you.
