Ever played that old NES game The Untouchables? It’s basically a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you play as Eliot Ness taking down gangsters in Prohibition-era Chicago. The controls are a little stiff—Z and X for punches, arrows to move—but there’s something satisfying about smashing through speakeasies and dodging tommy gun fire.
First level throws you right into it: you’re busting up crates of illegal booze while thugs rush at you from both sides. The sprites are tiny, but the fedoras and trench coats give it that classic mobster vibe. Just don’t expect deep strategy—this is pure button-mashing nostalgia. And yeah, the car chase level is as janky as you’d expect from an NES port.
If you’re into retro games with rough edges, it’s a fun time killer. Just keep your expectations in check.
