Man, The King of Fighters '95 on Game Boy is a wild little port—somehow they crammed all that arcade chaos into a tiny cartridge. You’ve got Kyo, Iori, Terry, and the rest of the crew, though they’re definitely pixelier than you remember. The controls take a second to adjust—rolling with the D-pad feels weird at first, but you’ll start landing those desperation moves eventually.
It’s got that classic SNK charm, though. The team battles still slap, and there’s something hilarious about seeing Rugal’s ridiculous cape animations on a 2-inch screen. Don’t expect arcade-perfect combos, but it’s a solid pocket-sized brawler for bus rides or pretending to pay attention in class. Just try not to rage-quit when the AI starts spamming specials.
Still holds up if you’re into retro fighters, but maybe pack a spare set of AAs.
