Remember those old Where’s Waldo? books? This NES game takes that idea and turns it into a weirdly charming side-scroller. You’re Waldo, obviously, but instead of just spotting him in a crowd, you’re actually running through levels full of ogres, fire druids, and giant lizards—because why not? Whitebeard the wizard lost his scrolls (classic wizard move), so you’ve gotta hunt them down while dodging enemies and grabbing power-ups.
There’s a dog with a magic carpet (don’t ask, just roll with it), clocks to buy you more time, and even a two-player mode where someone can jump in to help. The beginner level is forgiving, but the expert one? Good luck. The pixel art’s got that nostalgic NES jank, and the music’s the kind of repetitive tune that’ll either annoy you or get stuck in your head for days. It’s not the deepest game, but if you ever wanted to see Waldo sword-fight a lizard, here’s your chance.
