Okay, so The Flintstones on Game Boy is exactly what you'd expect—a goofy, colorful trip back to Bedrock with all the stone-age nonsense you remember from the show. You mostly play as Fred (because of course you do), running around hitting things with his club, tossing rocks at dinosaurs, and occasionally hopping on a pterodactyl like it's no big deal.

The levels are straight out of the cartoon—you’ll recognize the quarry, the bowling alley, even that weird drive-in theater with the stone TVs. The puzzles aren’t exactly brain-melting, but figuring out how to stack rocks just right to reach a ledge or trick a saber-tooth cat into falling into a pit is oddly satisfying. And yeah, the controls are a little stiff—this is a Game Boy platformer—but once you get used to Fred’s weird little jumps, it’s a fun way to kill an afternoon.

Honestly, half the charm is just hearing the tinny little Game Boy version of the Flintstones theme every time you boot it up. If you grew up watching the show, it’s a nostalgia bomb in the best way. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking—it’s pure, dumb, yabba-dabba-doo fun.
