Alright, so The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy is one of those NES games that looks simple but has some weirdly tough moments. You play as Fred, swinging his club at dinosaurs and hopping across platforms—classic side-scroller stuff. The controls are straightforward, but some of the jumps are just barely doable, so expect a few cheap deaths.

Dino and Hoppy get kidnapped (because of course they do), and you’ve gotta bash your way through caves, jungles, and who-knows-what-else to save them. The club feels satisfying to swing, though sometimes enemies spawn in annoying spots. And yeah, the graphics are pure NES charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, the works.

If you’re into this era of games, it’s got that same rough-but-fun vibe as Darkwing Duck or the Aladdin port. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand. You’ll probably yell at the screen at least once.
