Okay, so The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy is this weird little NES gem where you play as an egg—yes, an actual egg—named Dizzy. His girlfriend Daisy gets kidnapped by some wizard named Zaks, and of course, it’s up to you to fix everything. Sounds simple, right? Nah, this game’s a trip.
At first glance, it looks like a platformer, but you can’t even attack enemies—just awkwardly hop over them while carrying random junk in your tiny egg hands. Half the time, you’re lugging a key or a mushroom across the map, trying to figure out where it goes. And then there’s the stars. 250 of them, hidden everywhere like some obsessive collector’s nightmare.
Oh, and between all that, you’ll stumble into these random arcade minigames that feel totally out of place (but weirdly fun). It’s janky, charming, and honestly kind of stressful—but in a way that makes you want to see what nonsense comes next. If you’re into old-school weirdness, this egg’s adventure might just crack you up.
