About Terminator 2 - Judgment Day
Terminator 2: Judgment Day on the NES came out in 1992, published by LJN. It was one of many movie tie-ins from that era, a time when the 8-bit console was still active but starting to show its age next to newer systems. You got a few different versions of the game across platforms, and this one tried to capture the film's action.
You control John Connor, moving him through side scrolling levels viewed from above. Your main goal is to survive and stop Skynet, which involves running, jumping over gaps, and shooting a lot of T-800 endoskeletons. The game uses a password system to track progress, and you collect weapon power ups to change your shot type. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming constantly, and the difficulty is quite high, demanding precise jumps and quick shooting. Playing it feels like a constant, frantic scramble to stay alive.
