Telefoot Soccer 2000 on N64 is one of those soccer games that feels a little rough around the edges at first—until you realize how much depth it’s hiding. The controls take a minute to get used to, but once you do, the passing feels surprisingly crisp, and the AI actually makes smart runs (most of the time).
What I love is how the weather actually changes how you play—rain turns the pitch into a slip-and-slide, and long balls suddenly become way harder to control. The commentary’s in French, which adds to the charm if you’re into that, but honestly, I just mute it and put on my own hype playlist.
It’s not as polished as FIFA 64, but there’s something about the way the ball physics work that makes scoring feel extra satisfying. Just don’t expect flashy licenses—this is pure, no-frills soccer with a weirdly addictive rhythm.
