If you grew up with the Turtles, this GBA game hits all the right nostalgia notes—you pick your favorite shelled hero (I always go with Donnie’s bo staff) and dive straight into side-scrolling chaos. Foot Clan grunts come at you from all directions, and the controls feel surprisingly tight for a handheld brawler.
The levels mix platforming with beat-em-up action, and the boss fights against Shredder’s crew actually require some strategy instead of just button mashing. The pixel art nails the cartoon’s vibe, right down to Mikey’s dumb grin mid-combo. It’s not the deepest game out there, but it’s pure, dumb fun with just enough challenge to keep you going. Cowabunga indeed.
