Alright, so TMNT 2: Battle Nexus on GBA is basically the perfect little beat 'em up for when you're craving some old-school turtle action. You pick your favorite (I always go with Donnie because that staff reach is clutch), and then it's just non-stop smashing through waves of Foot Clan goons. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a GBA game—you can actually tell which turtle is which, which wasn’t always a given back then.
What’s cool is each turtle plays a little differently—Raph’s fast but short-range, Leo’s balanced, Mikey’s… well, Mikey. And yeah, you can team up with a buddy in co-op, though good luck finding someone who doesn’t hog all the pizza power-ups. The levels are short and punchy, perfect for handheld, and the boss fights against Shredder or Krang actually make you think a bit instead of just button-mashing. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it’s a solid, nostalgic brawler that holds up way better than it had any right to.
