If you grew up with the 2003 TMNT cartoon, this GBA game nails the vibe. You pick your favorite turtle—Leo’s my go-to, but Raph’s extra-aggressive moves have their moments—and slash through waves of Foot Clan goons. The levels feel like episodes from the show, with that same mix of rooftop chases and sewer brawls.
It’s not just button-mashing, though. Some enemies actually block or dodge, so you’ve gotta time your attacks. And the boss fights? Shredder’s as cheap as ever, but beating him with a well-placed jump kick is stupidly satisfying. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a GBA title—you can even see Donnie’s goggles reflecting light in some stages.
Definitely one of the better TMNT games from that era.
