Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (yeah, they called it "Hero" instead of "Ninja" in Europe for some reason) is one of those classic SNES beat 'em ups that just feels right with a friend. You pick your turtle—Leo’s balanced, Raph’s quick but weak, Donnie’s got reach, Mikey’s… well, he’s Mikey—and start smashing Foot Clan goons across time. The pixel art and animations still hold up, especially when you chuck a dude straight at the screen.

It’s shorter and a bit stripped down compared to the Genesis version (no four-player mode here), but the controls are tighter, and the soundtrack slaps. That first level on the streets of New York? Pure nostalgia. By the time you’re fighting dinosaurs in the prehistoric stage, though, you’ll notice the enemies start recycling. Still, grabbing a buddy and wrecking Shredder’s time-traveling nonsense never gets old. Just don’t expect deep combat—this is all about pizza-fueled chaos.
