Okay, so Tarzan on N64 is basically the closest you'll get to swinging through vines like a wild jungle man without leaving your couch. The first thing that hits you is the soundtrack—it's pure Disney magic, straight from the movie, and it somehow makes even the tutorial level feel epic.
You start off learning the basics—running, jumping, that classic Tarzan yell—but things get interesting fast. The vine swinging? Surprisingly smooth once you get the timing down, though I definitely face-planted into a few trees at first. The levels are packed with little secrets, like hidden animal tokens (grab enough and you unlock bonus stuff), and some of the platforming gets legit tricky later on.
Graphically, it’s peak late-90s N64—bright colors, blocky but charming, and the jungle actually feels dense. The cheetah chase level still gets my heart racing, and fighting Sabor (that leopard from the movie) is way more intense than I expected for a Disney game. If you grew up with this era of platformers, it’s a nostalgia trip with just enough challenge to keep you from breezing through it in one sitting.
