Taiyou No Yuusha Game

Taiyou No Yuusha is one of those Game Boy RPGs that never got the spotlight it deserved. You start off as this young hero—classic setup—but the world actually feels alive, with little details in the pixel art that make towns and dungeons way more interesting than they needed to be.
The turn-based combat’s got a sneaky amount of depth too. At first, it seems basic, but then you realize certain enemies react differently to magic or specific weapons. I remember wasting way too much time grinding near the first town because I kept getting wrecked by these weird floating eyeball things.
And the music? Surprisingly catchy for a Game Boy soundtrack. There’s this one dungeon theme that still gets stuck in my head sometimes. If you’re into retro RPGs with actual personality, this one’s a solid pick.
