Tail Gator is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that somehow makes whacking things with an alligator tail feel satisfying. You play as this tiny pixel gator swinging its tail like a wrecking ball, smashing through blocks and enemies—it’s simple, but there’s something oddly fun about the rhythm of it.

The first few levels ease you in, teaching you how to time your swings and bounce off walls, but it gets surprisingly tricky later. Some of those later enemy patterns? Brutal. And the music has that classic Game Boy charm—chipper but slightly grating after a while (in the best way).

It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into short-burst retro platformers with a gimmick, this one’s got personality. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s more of a "waiting-for-the-bus" kind of game.
