About Tag Team Wrestling
Tag Team Wrestling came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1983, published by Data East. It was one of the earlier titles on the console, arriving before many of the system's defining hits. You get a straightforward wrestling game that doesn't try to be more than it is.
You control a team of two wrestlers, switching between them during matches. The main goal is to win a series of fights to become the champion. Key mechanics include tagging your partner in and out of the ring and building up a special power meter to unleash stronger moves. The action is simple but can feel stiff, and the computer opponents can be surprisingly tough. It feels like a basic but functional interpretation of the sport.
