T&C 2: Thrilla's Surfari came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Software Creations. It was part of that later wave of NES games, arriving when the 16-bit consoles were already gaining ground, so it had to hold its own with solid, colorful graphics and a unique premise.

You control Thrilla, a gorilla on a surfboard, navigating a series of side-scrolling levels. Your main goal is to rescue your friend from an evil witch doctor, which involves traveling through jungles, caves, and across the water. The gameplay mixes standard platforming with the signature surfing sections; you jump between platforms, avoid enemies like snakes and spiders, and collect bananas for points. In the surfing parts, you ride waves, perform tricks for bonuses, and dodge obstacles. The pacing is generally quick, though some platforming sections can be tricky with precise jumps required. It feels like a straightforward, action-focused game where you are always moving toward the next screen.
