Okay, so Sydney 2000 on N64 is basically that early 2000s Olympic game energy—arcadey sports events with that chunky polygonal charm. You’ve got your usual suspects: sprinting, swimming, weightlifting, all that. The controls are simple (mash buttons, wiggle joysticks), but some events like archery actually take a bit of finesse.
Graphics are… well, it’s an N64 game, so don’t expect miracles—blocky athletes, but the animations have this weirdly satisfying weight to them. Multiplayer’s where it shines though. Nothing like yelling at your friend because they somehow pole-vaulted farther than you despite button-mashing like a maniac.
It’s not deep, but if you’re after some chaotic couch competition, it’s got that early Olympics game vibe down.
