So Sword of Hope, The is this old-school Game Boy RPG where you play as Prince Theo—again—because apparently, someone lost the legendary sword a second time. Classic royal family move, right?
It’s first-person, which feels kinda weird at first if you’re used to side-scrollers, but you get used to it. You wander through dungeons, bump into monsters (literally—no fancy sprites here), and mash buttons in turn-based fights. The magic system’s got some neat quirks, though—some spells are way more useful than others, so good luck figuring that out without a guide.
Honestly, it’s janky by today’s standards, but there’s something charming about how straightforward it is. No bloated open world, no microtransactions—just you, a sword, and a villain named Zakdos who really needs to get dealt with. Again.
