About Super R.c. Pro-am (usa, Europe)
Super R.C. Pro-Am came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by Rare. It was part of that wave of handheld titles trying to capture the feel of bigger console games, a top-down racing game you could take anywhere.
You control a small radio-controlled car from an overhead view, racing against computer opponents on tight, winding tracks. The main goal is to finish in the top three to advance through the cups, collecting power-ups like missiles and zappers to slow down rivals or repair your own damage. You also grab letters spelling "Nintendo" for extra continues, which becomes crucial as the races get faster and more crowded. The game has a steady, demanding pace where a single crash into a wall or obstacle can cost you the race. It feels tense and focused, a constant battle for position on a small, cluttered screen.
