Man, Super R.C. Pro-Am on Game Boy is one of those games that looks simple until you actually try it. You’re controlling this tiny RC car from above, weaving through tight corners and dodging oil slicks like some kind of miniature racing god. The first race feels easy—until you realize the AI cars actually get aggressive and will straight-up shove you into walls if you’re not careful.

What I love is how the upgrades actually matter. You start with this sluggish little toy car, but after a few wins, you can boost your speed or handling, and suddenly you’re taking turns without spinning out like a drunk squirrel. The power-ups are chaotic too—drop a mine behind you, grab a turbo, or (my personal favorite) hit a speed boost right before a jump and go flying halfway across the track.

It’s got that perfect balance of arcade fun and "just one more race" frustration. You’ll finish third, swear you’ll quit, then immediately restart because you know you can shave off half a second on that last lap. Classic Game Boy racing at its best.
