Super Pinball on the NES is one of those Japan-only releases that makes you wish it got a wider release. It’s got that classic, slightly janky early pinball sim feel—ball physics are a little floaty, but weirdly satisfying once you get used to it. The tables are the real draw here: one’s this retro-futuristic sci-fi thing with ramps that feel way too ambitious for 8-bit hardware, and another’s a racing-themed table where hitting certain targets actually makes a little car zoom across the screen. Not gonna lie, the sound effects are pure NES cheese (expect a lot of metallic clangs), but it’s got charm. If you’re into obscure pinball games, this one’s a neat time capsule.
