Super Momotarou Dentetsu is one of those weirdly addictive train board games from the NES era—you roll dice, buy properties, and try to bankrupt your opponents while riding around Japan. It's got that classic Japanese board game vibe where everything's colorful and a little chaotic, with random events popping up to mess with your plans.
At first, it feels like a simple Monopoly clone, but then you realize there's way more going on—stock markets, rival players sabotaging your routes, even little minigames. The trains are cute, the music’s catchy, and somehow, even when you’re losing, it’s hard to put down. If you’ve ever played the later Momotarou Dentetsu games, this is where it all started.
