Super James Pond on the Game Boy is one of those weird little platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this stretchy fish secret agent—yeah, it’s as bizarre as it sounds—bouncing around levels, grabbing power-ups, and taking out enemies with… well, whatever a fish uses. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you figure out how to stretch and fling yourself around, it’s oddly satisfying.
The levels are short and packed with secrets, so you’ll probably replay them just to see what you missed the first time. And the music? Classic early Game Boy chiptune stuff—simple but catchy. It’s not the deepest game out there, but if you’re into quirky retro platformers, this one’s got charm.
