Super Hunchback on Game Boy is one of those weird little platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as Quasimodo—yeah, the Hunchback of Notre Dame—swinging around on ropes and bonking guards with your head. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you figure out the timing for jumps and swings, it’s oddly satisfying.
The pixel art’s got that classic Game Boy charm, all moody greens and blacks, and the music’s way catchier than it has any right to be. Some of the jumps are brutal, though—expect a few cheap deaths before you nail the rhythm. Still, there’s something about the janky physics and weird premise that makes it hard to put down.
Definitely a niche pick, but if you’re into obscure retro platformers, this one’s worth a look.
