Super Donkey Kong 3 on the GBA is basically the perfect throwback—like someone bottled up the best parts of old-school platformers and gave it a fresh coat of paint. You start off swinging from vines and tossing barrels (obviously), but the levels get wild fast—think bouncing off springboards over lava pits or dodging Kremlings that pop out of nowhere.

King K. Rool’s up to his usual nonsense, stealing all the bananas, and honestly, the controls feel so smooth you’ll forget you’re playing on a tiny screen. The music’s got that classic bouncy vibe, and some of the later stages? Brutal in the best way. If you’ve ever missed the days of simple, tight platforming with just enough chaos, this one’s a no-brainer.
