About Super Donkey Kong 2
Super Donkey Kong 2 came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed by Nintendo. It was part of that era when the GBA was full of platformers, and this one was a direct follow up to the first game. You control Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong, working together to rescue Donkey Kong after he's been captured by Kaptain K. Rool. The main goal is to get through each level, collecting bananas and finding the lost Kongs.
You switch between Diddy and Dixie on the fly; Diddy is quicker and can cartwheel off enemies, while Dixie can use her ponytail to hover for a short time. The levels are built screen by screen, with lots of vertical climbing and careful jumps over pits. You also hunt for bonus coins and animal buddies hidden in barrels, which adds a nice layer of exploration. The game can get pretty tough, especially in the later worlds where the platforming requires precise timing. It feels satisfying to finally nail a tricky sequence and move forward.
