Super Chinese Land (Japan) is the final chapter in the Game Boy series, and honestly, it's a solid way to go out. You're still running through those familiar side-scrolling stages, smacking enemies with your extendable staff, but they tweaked the mechanics just enough to keep it interesting. The first few levels ease you in—typical grassy plains, some caves—but then suddenly you're hopping across floating platforms with way more precision than the earlier games demanded.
I remember thinking the enemy patterns felt a little meaner this time around, especially those spear guys who love to lunge at the worst possible moment. And yeah, the last boss? Total pain if you don’t stock up on power-ups early. Still, it’s a satisfying wrap-up if you’ve been following the series.
