Super Chinese Land 2 is one of those classic Game Boy gems that flew under the radar for a lot of people. It's a compilation of Jacky and Lee's adventures—basically, you get two games in one cart. The first one's a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you punch and kick your way through waves of enemies, and the second is more of an action-RPG with some light platforming.
What I love about it is how simple but satisfying the combat feels. You start off with basic moves, but the controls are tight, and chaining hits together just works. The RPG part throws in some weapon upgrades and weird little puzzles—nothing too deep, but enough to keep it interesting. The sprites are chunky in that early Game Boy way, but the animations have this goofy charm to them.
If you're into retro stuff and missed this one back in the day, it's definitely worth a look. Just don't expect anything groundbreaking—it's pure, uncomplicated fun.
