Super Chinese (Japan) is the last game in the series to hit the Famicom, and honestly, it’s a solid send-off. You’ve got your usual beat-em-up action—punching, kicking, and tossing enemies around—but with that classic NES charm. The sprites are chunky, the music’s catchy, and the controls are simple enough that you can just jump in and start brawling.
What’s cool is how it mixes things up with some light RPG elements. You level up your character, which actually makes a difference in how hard you hit. At first, I wasn’t sure if grinding a bit would be worth it, but after getting wrecked by the first boss, I figured maybe a few extra levels wouldn’t hurt. Turns out, they don’t.
It’s not the deepest game out there, but if you’re into old-school action with a little extra progression, this one’s a fun way to kill an afternoon. The fact that it’s the last Famicom entry gives it a weirdly nostalgic vibe, even if you’re playing it for the first time.
