About Super Chinese Fighter
Super Chinese Fighter GB came out for the Game Boy in 1991 from Culture Brain. It was part of a wave of portable games that tried to bring a console style adventure into your hands. You could carry a whole quest around in your pocket, which felt like a small miracle at the time.
You control a young martial artist exploring a world screen by screen. Your main goal is to fight through various enemies and levels to prove your strength. You punch and kick your way through opponents, and you can also pick up and use weapons like a sword or a bow that you find. The game moves at a steady pace, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later areas. It feels like a straightforward brawler that asks for quick reflexes and a bit of patience.
