Super Bowling 64 is one of those N64 sports games that actually holds up—surprisingly solid physics, decent animations, and just enough arcade-y flair to keep it from feeling like a dry simulator. You’ve got your standard 10-pin mode, but the real fun kicks in with the trick shot challenges (some of them are ridiculous in the best way).
First thing you’ll notice? The ball actually has weight to it—none of that floaty Wii Sports nonsense. And yeah, the graphics are bright and cartoony, but in that late-90s way where everything’s just a little blocky and charming. Multiplayer’s where it shines, though—nothing like trash-talking your friend after nailing a split spare they swore was impossible.
If you’ve got an N64 emulator and a craving for something between Mario Golf and actual bowling, this one’s a solid pick.
